TSR felicitates spiritual masters on birthday eve

The T. Subbarami Reddy Lalithakala Parishat felicitated spiritual masters on the occasion of birthday celebrations of MP T. Subbarami Reddy here on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, Dr Reddy said his birthday celebrations would go on, on Monday too. Spiritual gurus and priests from the sacred shrines and peeth-ams of India were felicitated at Kalabharathi Stadium and the gurus blessed him with holy recitations.

Dr Reddy said he wanted to spend his birthday in Visakhapatnam and said the city was very close to his heart and he considered the local people as his family members. Dr Reddy recited hymns of Lord Siva and said that he wanted to share the ‘Eswara Shakti’ with the people. Sarvadharma Samabhavana Sammmelan and Diamond Jubilee of S. Janaki would be celebrated at Kalavani Port Stadium on Monday. Kalaparishat will construct a convention centre with an estimated amount of Rs 10 crore at MVP Colony. MP K. Chiranjeevi and minister Maheedhar Reddy will lay the foundation stone, Dr Reddy announced.

The auditorium can accommodate at least 900 people and Visakhapatnam Urban Development Autho-rity will manage it. Lyricist and director JK Bharavi, yesteryear heroine Vanisri, popular playback singers LR Eswari, K Jamuna Rani and spiritual masters Y. Venugopala Sastry, Sridhar Swamiji, Kavisamrat Seshabhattar Sudarshanacharya, Madugula Nagaphani Sarma, Daivagna Sarma, and Tiruppavai Kokila Manjulasri were felicitated on the occasion.
