VHR asks CM to remove YSR photos soon
Senior Congress MP Mr V. Hanumantha Rao on Thursday urged the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, to “immediately” remove his predecessor late Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s portrait from his camp office, adding that otherwise Congress workers will do that soon. Addressing a media conference, Mr Hanumantha Rao said the Chief Minister should also ensure YSR’s portraits are removed from all government offices, including residences of ministers, as per the recommendations of Dharmana Prasada Rao committee. He asked Mr Reddy to implement the committee’s other recommendations to wipe away YSR’s image that is looming large over AP Congress and restore the party’s image.
Slamming the Congress MP, Dr K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, for his outburst on a missing YSR photo at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Hanumantha Rao wondered why Dr Ramachandra Rao was silent when both Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy and his mother Ms Y.S. Vijayalakshmi were criticising the Congress and its president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi. “It is evident there are some people in the Congress who are covert supporters of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, and KVP is one of them,” he alleged. Reiterating his demand for a brainstorming session within the state Congress, the MP said, “It will be easy to identify then who all are Jagan’s agents.”
