VHR undergoes emergency surgery, stable
Senior Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao underwent surgery in a private hospital here on Thursday.
Mr Rao was advised surgery when he visited the hospital on Wednesday aft-er complaining of abdominal pain. The doctors who conducted tests on him confirmed infection in the gall bladder and advised him to undergo surgery immediately for removal of infected bladder. Doctors of the private hospital in Banjara Hills said Mr Rao’s condition was stable but he would remain under observation for the next couple of days.
They informed that Mr Rao had also developed septicemia and was being treated. Dr Narasaiah said, “Mr Rao’s condition is stable and he was put on ventilator support, oxygen levels are improving, his condition is haemodynamically stable. If his condition improves further we may remove ventilator support by tomorrow.”
