Woman burns kids, attempts suicide

A woman named Sharada killed her two children and attempted suicide at Alwal on Thursday due to marital problems. The woman aged 23 set her infant and two-year-old kid ablaze, and then burned herself. While Sharada survived with serious burns, the kids, Shravani, 8 months, and Meenakshi, 2 years, were brought dead to the hospital. Sharada, hopsitalised at Gandhi Hospital, is critical, the police said. Police said that Sharada’s husband Mallesh, a labourer, was a drunkard and used to harass her.
