Woman files plea in SHRC against docs
A woman from Guntur approached the SHRC complaining against doctors of Guntur General Hospital.
G. Jayalakshmi, 30, from Aparajipally of Gudur mandal in Warangal district, complained on Saturday that on March 17 V. Kuravaiah and Hanumantha Rao took her husband out and he has not been seen since then.
“He called me on March 20 stating that somebody shot at him and he was lying near Gurajala town with bullet wounds. He was shifted Guntur General Hospital,” she said. Jayalakshmi said that they discharged him with a bullet inside stating that removing it would be dangerous. The SHRC has sought a report by April 16.
Man set on fire by mom for stealing
A 50-year-old woman killed her 30-year-old son by setting him ablaze. The mother took the step after her son became a thief and refused to mend his ways. According to Balanagar police, the deceased was identified as Neelam Sultan. On March 17, while Sultan was sleeping at his hut at IDPL his mother Lakshmi took a bottle of kerosene, poured it on him and set him afire. He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital, but died while undergoing treatment on Saturday.
Lakshmi said that Sultan started stealing, and she had told him not to do so. He never listened, used to create a lot of nuisance and harass her also, she added. She said that her neighbhours were also treating her badly and used to call her names.
