YSRC workers turn to TSR
Congress nominee for Nellore MP seat and Rajya Sabha member T. Subbarami Reddy (TSR) will launch his election campaign from Kotthur in Indukurpeta mandal, his birthplace, on May 12. His mother Rukminam-ma belongs to the village while his father hails from Jagadevipeta village in the same mandal. Both the villages are part of Nellore Lok Sabha constituency. TSR’s kith and kin, will assemble at the ancestral home of his grandparents on May 12.
TSR’s candidature has led leaders of several political parties in Indukurpeta, Nellore, Kovur and Buchireddypalem mandals to start canvassing for him, according to Congress sources. Interestingly, most of them have worked for the success of YSR Congress during the byelection for the Kovur seat that was held in March this year. TSR’s relatives and friends from various parts of the state have been making a beeline to Nellore to canvass for him.
Meanwhile, 60 representatives of Dalits from 30 mandals under the leadership of party in-charge for Gudur Panabaka Krishna-iah, met TSR and pledged their support to him. TSR asked them to form village committees and submit the requirements related to development in the SC/ST colonies in the-ir mandals while assuring them that he would do his best to mobilise the funds. He assured them to provide 100 statues of Dr B.R. Ambedkar when they expressed the desire to install the statues in their colonies.
