‘Women on an average own 128 outfits’
London: Women’s wardrobes are packed with an average of 128 items of clothing, leaving them spoilt for choice when deciding what to wear, a new study has revealed.
Men, however, are lagging behind with an average of 106.
The study also found that women own 25 pairs of knickers on average, while men rely on 17 pairs of underpants.
The figures from Cotton USA reveal that, despite the economic gloom, people in Britain are still a nation of shoppers, with 56 percent “loving or really liking” shopping for clothes.
“Today’s wardrobe needs to fit a lot in. However, British consumers are savvy and are ensuring that they get the best value by choosing quality items,” the Daily Express quoted Stephanie Thiers-Ratcliffe, international marketing manager for Cotton USA, as saying.
