‘All-party meet’ at Munde bash?
Senior leaders across party lines, including senior BJP leader L.K. Advani, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal and Congress leader Vilasrao Deshmukh, will share the dais on Sunday at a function organised to felicitate BJP leader Gopinath Munde on his 61st birthday.
Gopinath Munde Gaurav Samiti has organised the programme at Shanmukhanand Hall, King’s Circle.
Apart from these senior leaders, former union minister Balasaheb Vikhe-Patil, BJP Maharashtra president Sudhir Mungantiwar, noted eye surgeon Tatyarao Lahane, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Pandurang Phundkar, Leader of the Opposition and president of the Samiti Eknath Khadse will also be present at the event.
BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari informed that all the leaders have confirmed their presence for the function. “Not just top leaders, but Mr Munde’hat the venue will be houseful. Mr Munde’s goodwill will attract people,” he said. s followers from across Maharashtra will come to Mumbai for the function. We have not made any arrangements to transport people, but we expect that the venue will be houseful. Mr Munde’s goodwill will attract people,” he said.

Rahul could be next PM, says Pranab
Mumbai, Dec. 11: Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday said Rahul Gandhi could “probably” become the next Prime Minister.
“Probably. After all, the people of India should decide. It is a democracy,” he said in reply to a question on whether Mr Gandhi would be the next Prime Minister of India.
“Of course,” he said when asked whether he would be happy with the decision.
The questions were posed by filmmaker Karan Johar to Mr Mukherjee at an awards function here.
Meanwhile, Mr Mukherjee said that economic growth rate would accelerate to 8.75 per cent in the current fiscal, although high inflation will continue to remain a cause for concern.
The minister, who turned 75 on Saturday, said the government would keep a vigil on inflation which was over 8 per cent in October.
