‘Didn’t ask Mamata to clarify’

Union minister Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday rejected reports in a section of the media that he had sought clarification from Trinamul Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on her speech in Maoist dominated Lalgarh.

The Union finance minister dismissed the media reports as figments of imagination.
Mr Mukherjee told reporters that he would meet the Trinamul Congress leader to enquire about her health as she had fallen sick. “Whatever is appearing. Is absolutely a figment of imagination. I am going to meet Mamata Banerjee because after the Lalgarh rally, she became sick and doctors have advised her to take rest. I am going to meet her only in that connection,” Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said.
