‘Madani admits link to key blast accused’

In a major breakthrough for the Bengaluru police, Kerala PDP chief Abdul Nasser Madani, accused in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case, has reportedly confessed to the police that he knew the prime accused in the case, Thadyanthavide Naseer, and had spoken to him several times.

Madani earlier stoutly denied links with Naseer.
Karnataka home minister V.S. Acharya also said Tuesday that Madani was suspected to be involved in the blasts outside Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of an Indian Premier League match in April this year, which left 17 people injured.
