‘Pak hackers’ send message on bank site
A message posted on the website of a Gramin Bank in Ballia district, allegedly by a self-proclaimed Pakistani organisation, has sent the police and bank officials into a tizzy.
The message posted on the website of the Ballia-Etawah Gramin bank says, “Your bank site has been hacked. This is just a trailer. I will show you full movie.”
The message further goes on to says, “We luv to break tightest security. That is why we are called hackers. Indians, my next target your bank sites. Save these if you can. Gud Luck — by Pakistan cyber barrier.”

SC confirms death for rape-murder

Feb. 2: The Supreme Court on Wednesday confirmed the death penalty to a burglar from Bengaluru for brutal rape and murder of a widow of a famous city doctors 12 year ago upholding the testimony of her minor son who then was only seven years old.
“We have no hesitation in confirming the conviction of the accused (B.A. Umesh, alias Venkatesh) under Sections 376 (rape), 392 (robbery) and 302 (murder),” a bench of Justices Altamas Kabir and A.K. Patnaik said.
The trial court in Bangalaore had warded death sentence to Umesh on October 26, 2006.

Government doctor ends life in UP

Feb. 2: A government doctor allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence in Sitapur district on Tuesday evening.
Ashish Rajani, 28, had just got engaged a day before and was to be marred shortly.
“He returned to Sitapur on Tuesday after the engagement ceremony and joined his duty. We do not know what exactly transpired which prompted him to end his life,” said a police official.
The incident came to light, late on Tuesday evening, when another doctor of the district hospital went to meet Ashish.
