11 child labourers rescued in Uttar Pradesh
Eleven children, who were being allegedly taken to Ambala as child labourers, were on Thursday rescued at the Chandausi railway station, GRP sources said.
On a tip off, GRP arrested Jagjivan, a middleman belonging to Gonda district and rescued the children in the age group of eight to 12 years when they were being taken to Ambala by the Lucknow-Chandigarh express.
Jagjivan used to take children from Gonda, Barabanki and Bahraich to Ambala for working as child labourers, GRP sources said adding that further action was being taken.
