11-year-old girl dies on flight

A 11-year-old girl, who had been undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, died on board the New Delhi-Kochi Air India flight which landed here last night.

Anna Sunny Christy of Pathanamthitta was said to be critically ill and was being taken to the Amrutha Institute of Medical Sciences at Kochi, airport sources said.

She was accompanied by her mother and a relative, they said. Christy developed uneasiness while on flight and efforts of co-passengers and crew members to save her life proved futile, airport sources said. The nature of her ailment was not known.

The flight landed at the Kochi International Airport near here at 10.30 PM last night.
