12-year-old boy kills his brother
At twelve, he is a confirmed killer and the cops do not know what to do with him.
The boy, whose name is being withheld on request, strangulated his younger brother, aged 10, to death on Tuesday in Hasuapur village in Barabanki district.
The boy killed his younger brother following a minor argument while playing, and then dumped the body in a nearby farm and returned home as if nothing had happened.
The boy’s parents launched a frantic manhunt for their younger son when the latter did not return home on Tuesday. Finally, the boy’s father lodged a complaint with the police.
The boy’s body was recovered on Thursday and during investigation, some villagers disclosed that they had last seem the victim with his elder brother.
The accused boy was detained for questioning and finally he confessed to having killed his brother.
“The boy has no remorse over his deeds and his neighbours and friends say that he has a bad temper and has often misbehaved with his friends. He is prone to such outbursts,” said a police official investigating the case.
The boy was produced in a juvenile court on Friday and sent to the remand home. “The boy is a potential threat to other inmates in the remand home because of his temper,” the official added.
