13 observers to pick Rajasthan cong candidates

The 10th phase of the Congress Sandesh Yatra on Thursday started while the AICC roped in 13 observers for Rajasthan to help the party organisation in selection of candidates. The Opposition BJP had also assigned to its joint general secretary V. Satish the task to ensure better coordination among the party leaders in the state.

According to Congress sources, each of the observers has been assigned to take stock of the situation for two Lok Sabha constituencies and 16 Assembly segments. “The observers will report from the ground and will give details about the realities,” said a party leader.
Sources said, the party has already decided to involve at least 25 local leaders in selection of candidates for every constituency.
