16 flights cancelled in Mumbai
Around 400 Kingfisher Airlines passengers were left in dire straits on Monday after 16 flights of the airline from the Mumbai airport were cancelled. In some cases, flights were clubbed with others, resulting in severe delays, while some passengers had to shell out a lot of money to make last moment bookings with another airlines.
Monday was the third consecutive day that saw Kingfisher flights being cancelled, with 16 flights grounded from Mumbai alone.
Flights to others metros like Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bengaluru and to other cities like Kochi, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad were cancelled.
There were cases of clubbing of flights, where some passengers who had booked tickets for a direct flight to Patna were shifted to a Delhi-bound flight.
Meanwhile, the service is expected to resume its Kolkata operations from Tuesday.
