2 from AP killed in Kabul
Hyderabad: The company that Naveen Kumar worked for supplied food, bottled water, fuel and supplies to Nato bases in Afghanistan and was also involved in housekeeping of military storage buildings and accommodation.
Two young men from Nizamabad were killed in the suicide attack in Afghanistan on Tuesday and attempts are underway to bring the bodies home. The third Indian killed was from West Bengal. Seven other foreign nationals were also killed in the attack.
The three Indians were working for DynCorp International, a firm that sends supplies to NATO forces in PuleCharkhi area in Kabul. The two AP men are Gurudi Naveen Kumar, 35, a resident of Perkit in Armoor in Nizamabad district and G. Sandeep, a resident of Velpoor.
Naveen had degree in hotel management
Naveen Kumar, one of the two men from Nizamabad who were killed in the suicide attack in Afghanistan on Tuesday, is survived by two brothers and his parents. His father Murali who runs a provisional store in Mamidipally said his son had done a hotel management course in Bengaluru and was working in a Hyderabad star hotel.
“Two years ago he went to Afghanistan to work as manager for a supplies company. His friends, who are also from Armoor and working in Afghanistan, called me and told me that he had died in the blast. He had come to the village in February for a holiday.”
