2 MP sisters kill selves after cops blackmail over video

Two sisters, aged 20 and 13, residing at Chhattarpur in Madhya Pradesh committed suicide by consuming poison on Wednesday as two police constables had taken one of the sister’s inappropriate video and were blackmailing and threatening them.

Sagar range IG Anvesh Mangalam told this newspaper that the younger sister died on the spot on Wednesday, while her elder sister, who was rushed to Jhanshi for treatment, died during the intervening night of May 26 and 27. He said that the erring police officials will not be spared. Both the accused cops have been suspended and a departmental inquiry is being held against them.
According to available information, the elder sister, a second year B.Sc. student, had approached the Chhattarpur superintendent of police on May 23 along with her lawyer to lodge a complaint against two constables Arvind Patel and Kanhaiyalal. Her allegation was that the cops caught her along with her friend at an isolated place and took them to a deserted house in Chhattarpur’s Peptec colony on May 21. They were then forced to get into a compromising position and their video was recorded. The cops also took away Rs 1,500 and their mobile phones. All this happened around 8 pm.
According to the range IG of Police, the elder sister, who was the main complainant, had sought action against the erring cops but was not ready for a criminal case. After preliminary inquiry and on the basis of certain evidence, the Additional S.P. asked the girl on Tuesday whether or not the Police should register a criminal case. On Wednesday, two other cops were sent to her house for seeking permission but she said that she had not made up her mind. After this, according to independent witnesses, she went to the house of a friend and returned sobbing.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
