2G case: Swamy submits documents on Chidambaram's role

A 11-page 2G report nearly blindsided Home Minister P. Chidambaram today after it claimed the minister could have cancelled former telecom minister A. Raja's decision to sell licenses.

The note, from the Finance Ministry, says Chidambaram (who was Finance Minister in 2008) could have enforced enough rules to assure no sale of 2G happens at throwaway prices.

The documents were produced in court today by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy, who believes the pages demonstrate what he alleges is the involvement of Home Minister P. Chidambaram as the then finance minister in deciding the second generation (2G) spectrum pricing.
