2G: Raja's aide Sadiq Batcha commits suicide

Former telecom minister A. Raja's aide Sadiq Batcha allegedly commited suicide in Chennai, the police sources said.

Batcha was declared 'brought dead' in a hospital, according to hospital sources.

Batcha, had been questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the 2G scam.

The premises of Batcha were raided in the past weeks.

CBI had earlier told the Supreme Court that A. Raja will be chargesheeted by March 31 in the 2G scam.

The CBI, while filing a status report in the 2G scam before the apex court bench of judges G.S. Singhvi and A.K. Ganguly
