2G scam: Tata Group 'a loser in spectrum allocation' because of Raja's conspiracy

The Central Bureau of Investigation today told the Supreme Court that the Tata Group has emerged a loser in spectrum allocation because of 'Raja's conspiracy with other co-accused in 2G scam'.

The agency added that it is also probing the alleged involvement of Anil Ambani in the 2G scam. The CBI has, meanwhile, given a clean chit to Videocon Industries-owned Datacom in the scandal.

About Tata Teleservices, the agency said the firm was not favoured by former telecom minister Raja. It also refuted allegations that the Tata family had gifted land to the DMK family fo favours in spectrum allocation.
