327 Pak Hindu migrants on move again
A group of 327 Pakistani dalit Hindu migrants who were living in Haryana have decided to migrate again, this time to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.
The police in Jodhdpur said the migrants had been staying in India for last two decades without an extension in their visas. These Hindus claim they migrated to India when their localities were attacked in Pakistan after the demolition of Babri Masjid in India.
“We moved in Jodhpur to settle permanently here because the Rajasthan government is sympathetic to the dalits and tribal Hindus, who came from Pakistan,” said Tarachand, a Pakistani Hindu, who is part of the 327 people group. He said they have been living in Ellenabad under Sirsa district in Haryana for last two decades. The intelligence personnel became active on Thursday night when they found out of sudden 327 Pakistani Hindus landed in Jodhpur.
“It is surprising that they have been staying in Sirsa without any visa extension since 1992, neither the local administration asked them for an extension nor did they apply for one,” a senior police officer said in Jodhpur. The members of these Pakistani Hindus said they lost hope for Indian citizenship in Haryana while Rajasthan extended a helping hand to such uprooted Pakistani Hindus.
