4.7-magnitude quake hits Assam

An earthquake of mild intensity was on Sunday experienced in Assam and parts of the north-east.

The quake measured 4.7 on the Richter Scale, sources at the Meterological Centre here said.

The epicentre was yet to be ascertained. There was no report of any damage.
