6 terrorists may have sneaked in, warns IB
The attack on the Indian border outpost in Poonch along the Line of Control was a “well-planned and executed operation” by Pakistan Army regulars and Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Jaish-e-Mohammed militants.
The Intelligence Bureau, in a comprehensive report, said it suspects at least six militants managed to successfully sneak into Indian territory afterwards. A massive combing operation is on in Poonch’s thick jungles to hunt them down.
Indian intelligence agencies suspect the involvement of the Pakistan Army’s Mujahideen Regiment.
The report claims the attack was executed by at least 18 to 20 persons who came 450 metres inside Indian territory with the sole intention of attacking the Salar outpost close to the LoC.
