Aamir magic unites MPs in Parliament

MPs cutting across the political spectrum on Wednesday came together for a noble cause promoted by matinee idol Aamir Khan, their differences over the Joint Parliamentary Probe (JPC) notwithstanding. The issue was about increasing awareness on malnutrition among infants. The visit of the superstar to Parliament led to all

MPs and staff members getting eager to shake hands with him. Aamir Khan, who was accompanied by lyricist Prasoon Joshi, called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and Rahul Gandhi. While interacting with reporters, Aamir said, “I am happy that all political parties are united on this basic issue and hopeful that they will remain so.” He added, “I hope all the MPs will remain together on the issue of checking malnutrition.”
