Aarushi case: Parents' plea to oppose case closure rejected
Ghaziabad: A special court has rejected the application of Dr Rajesh Talwar and his wife Nupur seeking permission to oppose the CBI closure report in the murder case.
The agency's report in the Aarushi Talwar murder as an unsolved case will now be heard by the CBI special court here on January 7.
In her order, CBI Special Magistrate Preeti Singh instructed the agency's investigative officer to be present in the court with all the documents on January 7.
Rajesh Talwar, father of the murdered teenager, had filed a protest petition requesting that the case not be closed as requested by the investigating agency.
Fourteen-year-old Aarushi was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in her parents' Jalvayu Vihar apartment in Noida, Delhi's suburban town in Uttar Pradesh, May 16, 2008. The family's domestic help, Hemraj, was also found killed on the flat's terrace a day later.
