ACP thrashes event organisers
The Pune concert of pop sensation Enrique Iglesias on Wednesday night was marred for a while as police had to use force in which organisers of the event were allegedly thrashed by an assistant commissioner police (ACP).
Only Much Louder (OML), the company that organised the event, alleged that the ACP V.T. Pawar wanted to let his guests into the event but was refused. Infuriated, the ACP allegedly thrashed the organisers of the event.
“This certain ACP was also given substantial number of complimentary passes for his guests to be present at the event at the platinum gate (`8,000), much before the event. When this ACP came with yet another group of his guests to be let into the event without any passes or wristbands, he was asked how many more guests he had. At that moment he was also requested to proceed into the venue, however without any additional guests. On hearing this, the ACP started hitting the organiser (sic),” stated a release issued by OML.
The organisers had already let a few dozen guests of this ACP into the platinum area without any passes or checks since the ACP was not allowing anyone to even check them, added the release.
