Advance bail can keep Yeddyurappa out
With the risk of arrest loom large over him, one of the foremost legal options for Mr Yeddyurappa and others involved in the cases would be to approach court seeking anticipatory on the grounds of fear of arrest.
However, according to a few legal experts, such a move may also prove unfruitful considering that the courts are unlikely to grant such relief in favour of Mr Yeddyurappa and others in view of the SC taking the mater seriously and directing CBI to probe the case uninfluenced by any order, inquiry or investigation.
If Mr Yeddyurappa chooses to seek advance bail from the high court, he can rely on one of the recent orders of the HC which gave him a clean chit over all charges levelled against him by the Lokayukta in its illegal mining report.
Others options such as Mr Yeddyurappa filing a review petition before the Supreme Court pleading to reconsider its order directing a CBI probe, however, look bleak.
