Advani to start yatra for change
Senior BJP leader L.K. Advani is all set to embark on his 38-day 'Jan Chetna Yatra' from Jayaprakash Narayan's birth place Sitabdiara in Saran district today.
Advani, accompanied by Leaders of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley respectively, arrived here by a chartered plane from the national capital and straightaway took off in a chopper for Sitabdiara.
He is scheduled to address a public meeting at Chapra and proceed by road to Patna where he would be addressing another rally in the evening.
Advani has said his 'rath yatra' would put pressure on the government to retrieve black money stashed away in foreign shores and pursue good governance as well as clean politics for a change.
During his yatra, Advani would stay in Bihar for two days and would be addressing meetings at Ara and Buxar tomorrow before leaving for Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who would flag off the yatra, has lauded Advani for his endeavour which, he believes, would raise public consciousness about large-scale corruption in the country and bring back black money locked up in foreign banks.
