After Bodos, DHD irked by Ulfa ‘bias’
The preferential treatment to outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom by the government has become a rallying point for other militant outfits holding ceasefire in Assam as now, the outlawed Dima Halam Daogah (Joel) has written letter to Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi raising finger at extra ordinary treatment given to Ulfa in Assam.
Earlier, this newspaper had reported the hard-hitting letter of NDFB (Progressive) to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh lambasting the home ministry for giving preferential treatment to Ulfa.
The DHD (J) letter signed by its deputy chairman P Dimasa said, “We were the first insurgent group of the country which laid down arms en-masse on October 2, 2009 to pave the way for a peaceful resolution of conflict. In fact, we were made to believe that all our demands would be resolved within 100 days.”
