Agent gets clean chit by police
The police, investigating the death of model Bidushi Dash-Barde, has said that the model coordinator or agent, who allegedly sent her threatening messages, seems to be innocent. The police had earlier said that Bidushi owed around `25,000 to the agent as fees and that he had allegedly sent her angry messages on the day of the incident.
The police had picked him up for questioning but said he appears innocent. “The money was the fees or the commission that the agents charge when the model gets assignments. The man doesn’t seem involved with her death since he was only trying to get his money back,” said an officer involved with the case. Senior police inspector V.D. Bhoite said that prima facie, the agent appears to be unconnected to the incident.
“We are, however, waiting for the forensic reports which will determine the exact cause of her death. No one has been given a clean chit yet and investigations are still underway,” he said. Bidushi was under heavy debt and had borrowed hefty amounts from various persons, including a director to fund her diabetes treatment.
The police also said that they earlier believed Kedar pushed Bidushi in a fit of rage during an argument, since it was established that couple quarrelled frequently over domestic and financial issues.
