AIADMK members enter Mayor's chamber remove Karuna's portrait

AIADMK workers today allegedly entered the Mayor's chamber and in his absence, removed the portrait of former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and placed the 'official' one of present incumbent Jayalalithaa.

They also removed a portrait of former Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin.

A portrait of Karunanidhi presenting the 'Sengole' (sceptre) to Mayor K. Kumar Muruges, was also removed.

They then occupied the chairs in the room and later left for Veerappanchatram and Surampatty Municipalities where they placed the portrait of Jayalalithaa.
