Aircraft crashes, pilots safe

An Advanced Jet Trainer crashed today in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu, but the two pilots are safe, police said.

The AJT crashed in a sparsely populated area at Lakshmipuram and there were no collateral casualties, police said.

The two pilots ejected to safety and were later rescued by an IAF helicopter from Bangalore which flew them back there, they added.
