Akbar is no coward, he will surrender, says Asad
Hyderabad: Majlis-e-Ittehadul chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday night declared that his brother and party legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi will come soon and surrender before the law.
“My brother is not a coward. He will not run away from the law. He is not a law-evading legislator, and I am confident that justice is on our side,” Mr Asaduddin Owaisi said.
Addressing a gathering at Tandur in Ranga Reddy district, the MIM chief accused Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy of having colluded with the BJP and conspired to defame his party.
“My brother participated in Nirmal meeting 15 days ago. And I am asking why was a case only booked against him now? It’s clearly a conspiracy between the BJP and the Congress. It happened just because the MIM withdrew support to Congress government in the state. Now, both the Congress and the BJP have become communal, and out of ven-geance, they have lodged a complaint against Akbar-uddin,” the MP said.
The MIM chief took the opportunity to clarify that the MIM was not against any particular religion.
“But, we are certainly against the BJP and the Congress. I am asking what has been done when Babri Masjid was demolished? What action was taken against BJP leaders Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and others for demolishing the masjid? The Congress government deliberately wants to harass the MIM and has resorted to foisting cases against us,” he said.
