Akhilesh Yadav arrested in Lucknow

Lucknow: Akhilesh Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and president of the party's Uttar Pradesh unit, has been arrested from Amausi airport here on Wednesday morning, police said.

The arrest took place before he was to a lead a protest against the state's ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Lucknow DIG D.K. Thakur told the media over phone.
