Hyderabad: Supporters of Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and his son Anil Yadav allegedly attacked the convoy of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav near the Park Hyatt hotel at Banjara Hills on Sunday.
Followers of the MP stopped one of the vehicles, damaged its windshield and attacked a policeman when the UP CM’s security officials did not allow  Anjan Kumar Yadav to sit in the vehicle and be a part of the convoy.
Banjara Hills police has registered a case against the MP’s followers based on a complaint from Akhilesh Yadav’s security personnel.
The incident occurred when Akhilesh Yadav’s convoy started for the national executive meeting of the All India Yadav Mahasabha at Nagole from the hotel. Anjan Kumar Yadav wanted to follow the CM in one of the convoy vehicles, but the UP CM’s security officials stopped the MP while he was getting into the car.
Enraged by this the MP’s followers stopped the Black Scorpio bearing registration number AP9PA424. “CCTV footage shows that two men stopped the car and another smashed the right windshield of the vehicle with his fists. Another offender hit a UP cop named Ram Shakthi,” said West Zone DCP V. Satyanarayana after checking CCTV footages.
Akhilesh left before scuffle
City policemen, NSG commandos and UP cops were present when the vehicle was attacked. Akhilesh Yadav, however, had left by then.
Security personnel pushed back the assaulters and the convoy left. Later they lodged an official complaint at the Banjara Hills police station regarding the matter.
The police has booked cases against the Secunderabad MP’s followers under IPC sections 323 (for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (for wrongfully restraining persons), 353 (for Assault or criminal force to deter public servant) 427 (Mischief causing damage) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation).

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
