Anna caps hit Mumbai stores

With anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare initiating his proposed fast from December 27, Gandhi caps with the “I am Anna” logo, T-shirts, Anna badges and the tricolour are back in demand.

India Against Corruption (IAC) has printed 3 lakh “I support Anna Hazare” badges, 10,000 big and small banners, 10 lakh handbills, 20,000 stickers.
The famous Gandhi caps have become a rage again.
“The cap is now symbol of the Jan Lokpal agitation. We also associate the cap with Mahatma Gandhi and his non-violent protests for freedom,” said Piyush Bhatia, IAC volunteer.
Vendors in Mumbai have already started selling the Anna Hazare merchandise and are expecting a huge response in the next couple of days.
“We are expecting that around 25,000 to 30,000 Gandhi caps will be sold for this agitation,” said Dnyanesh R. Battin from the Shudh Khadi Bhandar in Dadar.
