Anna for EC under Lokpal Bill
Social activist Anna Hazare here on Friday advocated inclusion of the Chief Election Commission of India and judiciary under the purview of the proposed Jan Lokpal Bill.
Addressing a huge and spontaneous anti-corruption rally, Mr Hazare said, “We want value-based politics and a corruption-free India. We won’t rest till we succeed in our mission.”
Mr Hazare, who was brought to the venue of the rally by the organisers of the meeting Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti in huge procession, was here with his co-activists Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh, Arbinda Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia to address the rally to mobilise youth against corruption.
Asking the youth to commit themselves for a struggle to secure second independence of the nation, Mr Hazare said that implementation of Jan Lokpal Bill was the beginning of a battle against corruption. “We have to fight a long battle as next we want electoral reform to grant electorates a right to reject,” he said adding that their biggest crusade against corruption would be to force the recovery of the black money.
