When asked what gift would give human resource development minister Kapil Sibal and Union home minister P. Chidambaram on the occasion of Friendship Day, Mr Hazare said, “better sense.” Mr Hazare, while addressing a press conference in Aurangabad, said that the government had not given them anything in writing regarding rejecting permission for agitating at Jantar Mantar and vowed to continue the proposed indefinite fast. “We will conduct the agitation as the government has not told us anything in writing pertaining to the refusal,” said Mr Hazare. The activist is preparing to go on an indefinite fast from August 16 even as the Delhi police has said that he can’t stage his fast at Jantar Mantar citing reasons like the lack of space and the ban on a large gatherings near Parliament.
