AP, C’garh Maoists clash over booty
A dispute over sharing of booty has led to violent clashes between Maoist leaders of Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh at several places in Bastar recently, intelligence reports said on Wednesday.
Sources said a meeting of senior rebel leaders of both the states is being organised at an undisclosed place in Bastar soon to resolve the vexed issue and bridge the gap between the two factions. Sources claimed to have received reports of exchanges of fire between the two factions at Awapalli, Basaguda and Palampalli in Chhattisgarh’s worst insurgency-hit district of Bijapur in the past one month over the issue, forcing some rebel leaders to flee to Bhadrachalam and Warrangal in Andhra Pradesh.
