Asaram wants lady doc to treat him in Jaipur jail
A court in Jodhpur on Friday has directed the jail administration to examine the health of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu and submit a report by September 10. The court passed this order while hearing a plea made by Asaram to allow a female ayurvedic doctor to cure his ailment.
The police, however, denied existence of any CD about the godman but said some information emerged during the investigations but it has to be verified.
The issue came before the court when the jail administration forwarded the letter written by the godman to the court. Asaram sought help of a Ayurveda doctor named Neeta to cure his “Trinaadi Shool” ailment. He contended that he has been suffering from the problem and Dr Neeta cures him.
The godman, arrested for sexually assaulting a minor girl and lodged in Jodhpur central jail, mentioned that Dr Neeta should be allowed to visit the jail every day for two hours to cure him by “Panchkarma.” The godman addressed his doctor as Neeta ji and signed off as “Sant Shir Asaram Bapu.”
During the hearing, the Asaram’s lawyers doubted the authenticity of the letter and questioned the hand writing. His lawyers said it could be possible the godman got someone else’s help to write the letter. His lawyers also said that Asaram needed mediated food to maintain his health.
The godman also requested for some special facilities like Gangajal, Ayurveda items, bed and food of his own. A team of two doctors had examined him two days back at the jail when we felt restlessness but the doctors found him to be fit.
Asaram’s lawyer, Manindra Singh, said he was suffering from some heath problems.
