Assam girl missing since exodus
Anisha Duarah from Guwhati would have celebrated her 18th birthday on Tuesday. But this memorable day in Anisha’s life has not made her uncle happy, as he is making all efforts and running from one office to another searching for her.
The birthday girl has allegedly been missing since the exodus of northeastern people from the city began. Unable to find her after making all efforts, her uncle has now filed a complaint with the office of the state police chief, requesting the help of his force to trace the girl.
Anisha is an orphan and was being looked after by her uncle Mukul Duarah, the younger brother of her father.
Anisha, born to Mridul Duarah and Junumoni S., is from Paltan Bazaar in Guwahati, Assam.
Anisha completed her elementary education from the Mussorie International School at Mussorie, Uttaranchal. After completing her elementary education, she expressed her desire and wished to study in Bengaluru.
Her uncle got her admitted to Oxford College of Arts for her graduation in June and she was supposed to stay in the college hostel. She called her uncle regularly and gave details about her college, and seemed happy.
After reports of exodus of northeasterners from Bengaluru, Mr Mukul Duarah, his wife and friend came to the city to take the girl back home. But they could not find her.
When inquired at the college, they were shocked to learn that Anisha had attended classes for only three days and had stayed in the hostel just for a day.
