Assembly session from today

Hyderabad: The Assembly Session, which commences from Monday, will be a platform for the political parties to highlight their issues rather than forging a united attack on the government for its failures in many fronts.
The disunity among the Opposition parties, more particularly among the Telugu Desam, YSR Congress and TRS, will only lead to frequent pandemonium in the House during its Budget session. It has become evident with the three parties deciding to press issues, there is no unanimity among them.
On the first day on Monday, the Assembly will only adopt a condolence resolution for Avanigadda TD MLA Ambati Brahmaniah, who died last month and adjourn for the day. The Business Advisory Committee will meet immediately after this to chalk out the agenda for the Session. Though the government intends to have the Session for only nine days, in view of the condolence resolution, it may agree to extend the Session for one more day.
The TRS, which met under the leadership of K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday, decided to press for Telangana resolution in the Assembly and to stall the House proceedings, if it is not going to be considered.
Interestingly, this issue doesn’t figure in the listed agenda of TD and YSRC. On its part, the YSRC legislators have decided to press for a debate on power problems, increased power tariff and failure of the government in completing the Jalayagnam projects.
Contrary to this, the   TD has decided to raise the irregularities in APPSC members’ recruitments, Bayyaram iron ore, and other corruption issues. All the TD MLAs, including N. Chandrababu Naidu, will pay homage at NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, on Monday morning, and then reach Gun Park, opposite the Assembly buildings, to stage a dharna against government’s failures in addressing public issues. Naidu will be attending the Assembly for the first time after completion of his walkathon.
It is not clear if the two resigned ministers, Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabita Indra Reddy, wish to make use of the Rule 76 to explain their stand and the circumstances that led to their resigning. It is learnt that both the leaders want to utilise the chance to nail CBI contention branding them as corrupt.
During the Session, the government intends to transact the Standing Committee reports on various demands of grants, approval of 2013-14 Budget and the appropriation bill. If legislation on ‘Bangaru Talli’ scheme is ready, the government will go ahead with introduction of the Bill for approval.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
