Ayyo, whole of India sighs on twitter

Twitter is all about hot trends, flash news, and it toppled three governments, but if tweeples decide to have some fun, nothing can stop them.

The hottest trend in the last two days in twitter was Aiyyo!, which the Urban Dictionary explains as ‘an exclamation when something goes wrong (or) when you are misunderstood”.

More than 50 million tweets were posted in these days with the aiyyo hashtag, twiiter statistics website said. The tweeples across the country had a great time celebrating India’s first victory down under.

Gaurav Rokade tweeted “#aiyyo is trending , It means when I was asleep south Indians took over the Twitter :\”. That explained it all and the south Indians were celebrating their unique exclamatory expression.

They also explained the meaning to others. Krishalini explained, #aiyyo is what a south Indian parent would say after coming to know about his daughter’s affair. Another went to the extent of terming the aiyyo as the counterpart of W**F!!.

As Subrahmanian Swamy was the most debated person in the twitter aiyyo tag was added and many retweeted “#aiyyo happens to @PMOIndia when @Swamy39 starts talking...truth”

For those who missed the trend, Twitterati-the twitter elites didn’t forget to add Rajnikanth to the trend.
Rajnikant threw a grenade and 500 people died, 5 seconds later, the grenade exploded, #aiyyo/.”Many didn’t understand the word aiyyo and asked why the word was trending in Mumbai and Bangalore.

The Sounth Indian answer was epic “A E #Aiyyo U”. Finally, the whole India started tweeting Aiyyo!! and wanted it to become a global trend. “#Aiyyo #Sahara withdraws sponsorship of Team #India, Pune #BCCI kya karega” Which one is of the larger public interest? sell the spectrum cheap & benefit the majority by having lower telecom tariffs OR #2G #aiyyo.

The impending summer also took place in the trending list as Ami_chup chup came with a tweet “#aiyyo bangalore eni ushnakalam ... gulingglass vaykku.”

Yes Aiyyo was trending like Aiyyyoooooooo!!.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
