Baby girl dies after dad bit off lips, nose

Radha, a five-month-old girl severely injured when her drunk father chewed off her upper lips and nose in a fit of rage, died at Jaipur’s SMS Hospital Wednesday. She was brought from Bikaner to Jaipur for plastic surgery.
Doctors who operated last Friday said her condition worsened after being breast-fed by her mother as milk entered her lungs.

Santosh, her mother, had sought action against her husband Bahadur Singh, now in judicial custody. “I am scared of him, he should remain in jail,” said Santosh as the girl’s body was handed to her. “He often tortured me, he will do the same again”.
