Bajrang men slap, kick girls in ‘friendship’ stir
Bajrang Dal activists crossed all limits on Sunday, hounding young girls in parks and restaurants in Chhattisgarh’s capital to scuttle any celebration of Friendship Day.
A group of 100 Bajrang activists on motorbikes terrorised Raipur on Sunday, particularly targeting young girls and their friends.
At a number of places, they were seen slapping and kicking these girls in public places, even blackening the faces of some of them.
Shockingly, at some places, the police silently stood by while such attacks took place. Most of the victims were teenagers.
Passers-by looked on in shock and disbelief, particularly at the police inaction. “If such people call themselves protectors of Hindu culture, then I feel ashamed of being a Hindu today. How can anyone assault a girl in public without any provocation? They are simply a bunch of goons, shaming all Hindus. They not only assaulted me but hurt my soul too,” said one of the victims.
