Ban on sale of combat clothes in Jammu

Jammu: Following intelligence reports about use of combat dresses by militants in the state, authorities today imposed a two-month ban on unauthorised procurement, storage, sale and stitching of the dresses in Jammu.

District Magistrate, Jammu M K Dwivedi imposed the ban after inputs from security agencies said the combat dresses, whose production or procurement is not regulated by the state, could pass on into the hands of anti-national elements, a defence spokesman said.
