Bangalore Metro goes wi-fi
Bengaluru: Now hop on the metro and plug in to the world wide web. As now Namma Metro comes wi-fi enabled.
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation on Wednesday in a statement informed that the wifi service on Train set 9 is now open for the general public. “At present, it is still in the test stage, as field trials and tests are also being simultaneously conducted by our technical team and our channel Partners,” said B.L.Yeshwant Chavan, Chief public relation office, BMRCL.
In the testing stage, it was found that the reception was good and stable. Till now more than 60 commuters have already used it.
The train in which it is installed is identifiable by the coach nos ED109, ET009 and ED209 that constitute a train of three coaches.
“Once tests are successful , We hope to introduce it in all trains over a three month period,” he stated.
