‘Be true, never deviate from goal’
“The day belongs to all of you,” said the chief guest, Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, addressing the students and the faculties of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT) during their annual convocation.
More than 500 students, waiting in their graduation robes, listened attentively and cheered in unison when Mr Mukherjee advised the graduates to grab the opportunities that comes their way while making sound judgments, in a way of “serving the society”.
He further added that no matter what awaits in life, “be truthful, be righteous”, and never deviate from the goal.
Besides Mr Mukherjee, Union minister for urban development Kamal Nath, who is also the IMT president, congratulated the awarded degree graduates saying, “Don’t let the passion die within, your passion needs to be result-oriented and being IIT graduates you should know how to use the tool.”
Further, director of IMT, Ghaziabad, Dr Bibek Banerjee, while directing the graduates towards a bright future in the changing world, read out the annual report of IMT 2012 in which apart from many achievements, he mentioned the increase in the student and faculty exchange programmes
Some of the gold medal winners in the annual convocation of IMT 2012 are Radhika Bansal for finance, Swati Singh for international business, again Radhika Bansal and Chavi Aggarwal as the full-time gold medal winner.
The B-school continues to be ranked among the top 10 in India on several lists. It has successfully extended its branch to cities like Nagpur, Hyderabad and Dubai.
