Bengal CM to meet Anil Ambani
Indian industrialists as well as NRIs are keen on pumping in investments in West Bengal for its industrial development, state commerce and industries minister Partha Chatterjee said on Saturday. Among them are ADAG chairman Anil Ambani who has sought an appointment with chief minister Mamata Banerjee. “Anil Ambani has expressed his desire to meet the chief minister who has also agreed to meet him,” Mr Chatterjee said. The date of the high-profile meeting is yet to be confirmed. Asked who else are on the list, he said, “There are many key players in the corporate world who have evinced their keen interest in investing in the state.”

BJP: Govt lethargic

June 11: The main Opposition BJP on Saturday said the government’s statement that India is yet to take a decision on filing a chargesheet against 26/11 accused David Headley and Tahawwur Rana does not inspire confidence.
The party said the statement shows the government’s “lethargy and reluctance” in bringing to book those involved in the attack.
“The government’s statements do not inspire confidence. The government all the while has been giving an impression that it was unwilling to go deeper into the investigation. We ask: is there any lethargy, any reluctance?” BJP national spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said.
